The original consumer complaint + the copies of the same should be in paper file, properly punched and tied with filing thread with the knot on the back side.

The cover the file should display the consumer case number, the name of the complainant, and the name of the opposite parties.

Number of copies to submit:

National commission: original in file + 6 copies in file + loose additional copy for each opposite party + one for self.

State commission: original in file + 3 copies in file + loose additional copy for each opposite party + one for self.

District Forum: original in file + 3 copies in file + loose additional copy for each opposite party + one for self.

Fee required to be paid along with the Complaint

As per the consumer protection rules 1987 (amended up to 5.3.2004) rule 9A the every complaint field with a district Forum shall be accomplices by a fee, as specified in the table given below in the form of crossed Demand draft drawn on a nationalized bank or through a crossed Indian Postal order drawn in favors of the register of the State Commission and payable at the respective place where the state commission is situated.

The concerned district forum shall deposit the amount of fee so received in the State Government Receipt account.
